The main RuneScape forum is located at the official
RuneScape website, www.runescape.com. The forums are only
accessible when players log in, protecting them from spam
and unwanted messages from non-RuneScape players. These
forums exist solely for players to discuss the world of
RuneScape in all its aspects, and RuneScape staff and
administrators often read these boards to get an idea of
what players like, dislike, and want to see in the game.
The runescape.com forums are divided into six areas:
official news, game, support, marketplace, community, and
RuneScape Classic. Each is then divided further into
subcategories. Players should always be sure to start
discussions in the appropriate section and folder of the
game.
The official news board is for official RuneScape messages
only. This is where players can find the latest additions,
changes, or announcements about the game. The next board,
game, is divided into different categories pertaining to
playing RuneScape. This is where players can ask questions
about quests, discuss items, talk about monsters, and get
help with skills. Most of the posts on the board are in the
game category.
The support boards exist for players to give feedback about
RuneScape and to get technical help. For players who
experience crashes or other odd in-game behavior, this is
the place to discuss it. The next section, the marketplace,
is for players who are looking to trade or sell items in the
game. These boards often turn into an auction house, with
items being sold on a first-come basis.
The last two areas of the forums are community and RuneScape
classic. Community is a place for players to discuss things
non-RuneScape related and also hosts event, clan, and
dueling boards. RuneScape Classic boards are for players to
discuss RuneScape classic, the original version of the game.
In addition to the official forums at RuneScape.com, players
can also find forums on most RuneScape websites and clan
sites. Many of the same players post on several different
forums, so gamers will probably find a few familiar names on
each site. Visiting several of these forums will give
players a good idea of what RuneScape is all about and will
provide answers to just about any question they may have.
